The world of entertainment changed drastically from ballroom dances to this era’s latest video games. As the humans craving for fun and amusement multiplied in numbers over time, the period of movies up surged a great interest among the people.

According to the Wikipedia, Films or in other words motion picture is a medium used to simulate experiences that communicate ideas, stories, perceptions, feelings, beauty or atmosphere by the means of recorded or programmed moving images along with other sensory stimulations. There’s not a household with a television nowadays and you couldn’t expect one to not watch at least one of them.

Films brought of sense of amazement in people with the stories of princess, pirates, aliens and so, growing a curiosity among them. These movies were also a way to spread a good message among the society, like for example movies like The Forrest Gump, Liar Liar, Baghban spread out simple messages of friendship, love and relationships. They show hard realities one actually faces in real life and how people of this materialistic world break and mend bonds over time.

These pictures bring out the emotional side of us, with their heart breaking and jaw-dropping plotlines. Some of them are quite moving and sometimes people can also relate their real lives with that of the film characters. How many of you must have withheld your tears when you saw the film Notebook with that unexpected plot twist, or the times when Jai dies saving his best friend Veeru in the film Sholay?

Movies such as 2012 and The day after tomorrow show how Earth takes the course of events into its hands and how destruction takes place on the lands we live on, as we have carelessly exploited them over the years. Fantasy movies like the Avatar, Fantastic Beasts and not to forget this year’s record breaking movie The Avengers serie's Endgame have comprised and set up their own imaginative realms in this world. They also give us an insight on the historic events took place during the course of history. Movies like Padmaavat and Jodhaa Akbar narrate us the stories of the great royals who battled through the tough times.

Films give us hope to dream for something big, revitalize and even inspire you at times. They have become an irreplaceable part our memories, reminding us of the times when we laughter echoed in the living room over a funny scene, watching a horror film with your friends during a sleepover or the times you remember spending time with your loved ones having a movie marathon. It’s become a part of our journey of life, learning a little good, a little bad, times turning to funny and sometimes sad along the path.
