So recently, a video went viral about a mid-aged woman telling these bunch of girls that they are asking to get raped if they wear short clothes. Which is outright absurd, isn't it? Does the rapist see wat we wear and get excited that way? Do we need to be fully dressed to be away from all the leering? Was that aunty even slighty right about the things she said?
I mean, I totally oppose what thought she put forward. How is it a woman's fault if she chooses to dress the way she wants to? Do we really want to get raped? Are we so out of our minds? Are we raised like this?
Is this all a generation gap? Because we have been constantly adapting western culture and the culture there is okay with woman wearing anything they want to; freedom of choice. But I guess the men there have their hormones in control. I pity that middle aged woman's kids. She expected respect for whatever she was speaking, really? How could you? How could you demean someone so much and then ask for respect in return?
I don't think it's the generation gap, I think it has more to do with teaching. Teaching the right person the right thing. Like why is SEX, CONDOMS or PREGNANCY TEST such a big deal? Weren't people having sex before? Or is the stork story true? Why do we have so many things under the category of TABOO!
It's the 21st Century, atleast now people, gather your senses because no women is going to sit back and listen to your wortthless comments and be okay with you raising a finger or your hand.
