Disney Channel formed a major part of our childhood. We laughed and cried with the shows and characters and sang to all those melodies. Disney Channel Originals may not be as cool now as they used to be, when we were young, but we cant deny that they produced some of the most iconic movies of the time. For the Disney obsessed souls, here is a list of 5 Disney Channel Original movies that is assured to take you on a trip of nostalgia.

1) High School Musical

All three movies of the franchise is what we lived and breathed during our teenage. We know the lyrics to every song and know the steps. Troy Bolton ans Gabriela Montez are names that our etched to our memories forever. You know if it comes on tv, you are definitely gonna watch it, no matter how old you get. That is the magic of High School Musical.

2) The Cheetah Girls

This is the story of four teen girls go from singing at children's birthday parties to a recording deal, but when the record label tries to change their entire identity, they're hesitant. A story of friendship, and sticking through thick and thin. This movie starred the iconic Raven Symone, and three talented other girls, dressed in a whole lot of shimmer and animal prints!

3) Camp Rock

Camp Rock is a conglomeration of two of Disney Channel's greatest musical prodigies. This summer flick sees the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato playing alternate-reality versions of themselves called Connect 3 and Mitchie. The movie showcased some kickass hiphop moves, apart from having stellar music. trust me, you'll be able to watch their finale performance of "This Is Me" 1000 times without it ever getting old!

4) Princess Protection Program

This classic Disney Channel movie saw besties Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato join together for a Disney Channel royal spy movie. In it, Demi is a royal princess named Rosalinda who's hiding out in Louisiana from the evil General Kane while Selena portrays Carter, the regular girl frustrates with teaching Princess Rosie how to be a normal girl. This movie combines two famous names and in a way reverses the Cinderella story-line.

5) Jump In

I remember being so obsessed with this movie. Corbin Bleu from High School Musical plays Izzy, a high school boxer living life in his dad's shadow who realises he loves double dutch when his crush Mary, asks him to step in for a friend in a tournament. The ending is one of the best ones and is assured to leave your jaw open.
