The Difference

"Come on my son eat these sweets", said grandma. "Granny I also want to eat sweets", said the granddaughter. "No, you go and help your mom to prepare food. The sweets are only for my grandson", grandma replied. The girl cried but there was no one who could listen to her. She was their child but still she was considered different. She was not given the same facilities as her brother was given. She used to think they should have killed her even before she was so that she would have not faced this day and these many problems and differences. She used to think suicide was the only option left for her.

The boy was sent to good school in the city and the girl to some government school in the village. After few years when it was time for the children to go to the college the family sent the boy to a good college and they got the girl married in an uneducated family. They always did the difference between their children. The boy was made to eat good food on the other hand girl was not given the same. The boy was treated like a prince but the girl was not treated like a princess but rather she was treated like a slave in her own house. The boy was sent to a good school but the girl was not. The girl wanted to study further but her family did not allow her to do the same. Her own family spoiled her life.

It's not her fault

Why this difference? What is her fault? She is a girl. Is this her fault? Why people make differences between their own children. For building an empire, queen is as important as king. In the same way girls as well as boys are important for existence of human race. Educate your daughter, she will make you proud. Never ever make difference between a girl and a boy. If you do difference between you daughter and your son, your children will also learn the same thing. If you don’t treat your daughter properly, even society will not respect her. She will always be given the second preference. We should not treat our daughters like this. They should be treated the same as our sons are being treated. If son is being treated like a prince, the daughter should also be treated as princess of the house.
