In this day and age, where anyone can practically find anything online just at the tap of a few buttons and a few clicks on their mouse units at their desktop, not even books and literary material are exempt from this trend. If it exists, there is a digital version of it somewhere in the world wide web. Physical books have a certain charm when being read, over the casual virtual copy, but owing to the simplicity and convenience of owning ebooks, readers these days prefer to read from their phones or computers rather than a hardcover or a paperback.

Ebooks give the reader access to many useful functions such as the ability to increase or decrease the brightness, font size, adding and removing highlights and easy bookmarks. They also consume very little storage space as compared to other files, and the readers can carry them anywhere and everywhere with them no matter how many there are.

While physical copies of books may not have the aforementioned convenience of ebooks, they are still nonetheless beloved by many who still prefer them over ebooks. Reading enthusiasts say that there's nothing like owning and reading from an actual book as compared to a digital one.

But whatever the case may be, whether people settle for ebooks or physical ones, books will keep serving their purpose as stoehouses of knowledge and culture in human civilization.
