Satan is a personification of true evil who was a fallen angel, forced to rule the hell.
According to his father, who is the god he was an abomination to his family so he was denied the entry in heaven. This theory is according to Christianity and Islam, they believe that Satan possesses beauty and petty but was punished because he dared to rebel against God.

He is an entity of devil in Abrahamic religion who seduces humans into falsehood and sins.
The first use of the name Satan was found in 1 chronicle 21:1. It literally means adversary in Hebrew.

Another name arose in the old testament in the King James version.

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"

This name came from Latin which means Bringer.
This was the only passage in which Satan was referred to as Lucifer.
We all must be familiar with popular American tv show Lucifer, in which the devil himself arrives at earth to enjoy the perks of human life. He referred himself as Lucifer Morningstar( which sounded absurd).

Believe me, Satan doesn't just come for a tour on earth in reality, histask is to roam through the earth (like a contemporaneous Persian official) seeking out acts or persons to be reported adversely (to the king); his function thus is the opposite of that of the “eyes of the Lord,” which roam through the earth strengthening all that is good. Satan is cynical about disinterested human goodness and is permitted to test it under God’s authority and control and within the limits that God sets.

Nonetheless, some believe that Lucifer was an angelic name which was taken from him when he rebelled.

Evil is a necessary byproduct of the creation of an essentially good universe.

It is believed that humans who are trapping dark souls within them are condemned to hell where they are tortured by Satan in a loop of the agony of what they have done. It aims at the redemption of dark souls.

In the New Testament, in Luke 10:18 Jesus states that he saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. In all three Abrahamic religions, Satan is identified as the entity (a serpent in the Genesis account) that tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden and was thus the catalyst for the fall of humankind.

So, he judges you, bring the darker side of you to confess your sins.
