This is story of the time when I had just passed 12th and had joined a coaching for preparation of engineering entrance exams. One day while I was on my way to home I was lost in my thoughts that what I will do if I won't clear the exam, am I giving my 100% efforts . While I was immersed in these thoughts suddenly auto stopped with jerk at the point where generally all autos used to stop for getting passengers. I came out of my thoughts and my eyes stuck over a boy who had distorted legs and hands. His hands were twisted and he was trying to say something to every stranger passing by him. For once even I thought that he is asking for some money or some food. But then I realised that no, he is not asking for any such thing atleast his gestures are not at all like he is begging. After observing him I found out that oh shitt! He was actually indicating towards his pocket, a pack of biscuit kept in his pocket and after a lot of stuggle he wasn't able to take it out from there and tear it to have it. At that time I realised that we have gone so ignorant and judgemental that we judge everyone immediately and still we feel that we shouldn't be judged. Many strangers passed but none of them helped him. Then I asked the auto driver to stop for some more time, I crossed the road and went near him took out his biscuit packet, tore the wrapper and gave him one. The sparkle in his eyes and smile over his face was unbeatable , he was so happy because I understood what he was trying to convey to every strangers . When I returned to my auto every copassengers were smiling I suddenly forgot every tension of mine. I know that was not a big deed but still that incident is among all those incident that can bring smile over my face in any situation.
The happiness of being understood and joy of understanding someone , I still don't know which one is bigger.
