If you always do what you've always done, you'll always be where you've always been.

We are always trying to better ourselves. Be it physically, emotionally or mentally.

Here’s a guide to achieve a better lifestyle by simple yet crucial steps. They might contribute- directly or indirectly in their own methodologies. It’s never too late or too early to engross them in your lives. Just remember- merely reading won’t help. It needs to be put into action.

So let’s start-

1.  Self-care- Self-care is a broad term that encompasses anything about you being good to yourself. In a nutshell, it’s about being as kind to yourself as you would be to others. Self-care has many perks including better productivity, resistance to diseases, improved self-esteem and both physical and emotional health enhanced.

2.  Mental Health- Mental health is a state of well-being in which an individual realizes his or her own abilities. Coping with the normal stresses of life, can work productively, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community. Conditions such as stress, depression, and anxiety can all affect mental health and disrupt a person’s routine. The individual needs to work closely with a doctor who can help them identify their needs and provide them with a suitable treatment.

3.  Time Management- Effective time management allows you to accomplish more in a shorter period of time, which leads to more free time, which lets you take advantage of learning opportunities, lowers your stress, and helps you focus, which leads to more career success. Each benefit of time management improves another aspect of your life. So focus on developing a suitable schedule for you. Little steps go long ways- waking up and going to bed on time. Start with that.

4.  Meditation- Controlling your emotions- reacting appropriately for each life situation. Meditation is a habitual process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts. You can use it to increase awareness of yourself and your surroundings. Many people think of it as a way to reduce stress and develop concentration. It also reduced symptoms of anxiety disorders, such as phobias, social anxiety, paranoid thoughts, obsessive-compulsive behaviours and panic attacks.

5.  Learning New Things- A learning curve is essential to growth. It keeps your mind engaged and body active. Learning a new language- opens door to new opportunities. Expanding your knowledge these days- it’s more of a requirement than choice. Be it in personal or professional areas. Whether for hobby or career purposes, learning brings joy and satisfaction, regardless of age or professional standing.

6.  Exploring- Jobs fill your pockets but adventure fill your soul. You don’t have to specifically go to the other side of the world to be better. But you can start by exploring your city or country. Each thing or place- can teach us something distinct. You will be exposed to new ideas and skills. Organisms are constantly evolving- making them to survive in this world.

7.  Rid yourself of bad habits- Choose a substitute thing to do- for example if you feel like biting nails, focus on eating fruits instead. Cut out as many triggers as possible. If you need- take help of family or friends. A change in bad habits, leads to change in life.

8.  Take constructive criticism- Every human being is entitled to courtesy and consideration. Instead of aggressively defending- try turning it into a gift. You need to take feedback for your own self. It is the basis of self-improvement.

9.  Being yourself- Lastly, accept who you are. Start respecting yourself more. In the world people are constantly trying to be someone else. If they appreciate their own selves- they could achieve better. You don’t have to try and turn yourself into something you or not. Leading a better life comes with- embracing one’s true self.

gracias!
