Food products that have no or negligible nutritional value are considered as junk foods. Fast food includes burgers, bakery products, candies, salty and oily snacks or soft drinks. Consuming more of junk food reduces the intake of essential nutrients and vitamins in the body.

  • Certain chemical reactions are caused in the brain due to the presence of high sugar and fat in the junk food that affects the functioning of the brain. Consuming too much of junk food leads to reduction in essential nutrients and amino acids. All these leads to inability of brain to deal with stress and leaves a person feeling depressed.
