Game of thrones is in its final season and with just one episode left for this fantasy series to end, here we take a look at the good and bad from season 8. In case you haven’t seen the 5 episodes yet, stop reading since there are major spoilers ahead.

The good

1. Jon snow knows he is a Targareyn

The moment we all had been waiting for. Jon finally knows he is Aegon Targareyn, the true heir to the throne.

2. Night King is dead

The man, the myth, the legend, he’s dead. The best scene, till now from the series (in my opinion) is when Night King gets stabbed by our hero, Arya Stark. Many fans wanted Jon to do the honors but Jon was too busy yelling at a dead dragon!

3. The Battle of Winterfell
This clearly has been the most epic battle in TV history after the Battle of Bastards. From the very first scene when Melisandre lights up the Dothraki swords, till the final scene, this battle was a treat to watch. Sandor Clegane protecting Arya, Melisandre quoting Syrio, Night King being unaffected from Dragon fire, such little and big moments made this battle my favourite episode from the series.

The Bad

1. Mad Queen

“I am not here to be queen of ashes”, “I am not my father”, Daenerys has always been a hypocrite, remember when she killed Samwell’s family because they didn’t bend the knee to her? Clearly you need more than Dragons and the Unsullied to be a good ruler. Not to mention, reducing Kings Landing to ashes was absolutely uncalled for. Why do you even have a council if you never listen to them?? She was warned that her army needs time to recover and yet she marched to King’s Landing and lost a Dragon too.

2. The Long night lasting 30 minutes
What did the Night King want? Why did he go after Bran? Why did he have an army of the undead? Was the dagger that killed him has a history of its own? Sadly, all these questions remain unanswered. Night King did deserve more than one episode in the final season. Let’s hope HBO comes up with a spinoff about the Night King.

My predictions for the final episode
Your favourite Jon Snow won’t sit on the Iron Throne, considering he hates his titles and has been giving them up all along the series. Daenerys doesn’t deserve the throne because she just unnecessarily burned down an entire city even after they surrendered. Sansa Stark has already won the game of thrones- she has the North, spread the word about the true heir, and she made sure (in a way) that Daenerys doesn’t get the throne. Tyrion proved to be the stupidest Lannister for not already killing the Mad Queen even after Vary’s repeated warnings.
