The food we eat gives our bodies the much required energy and other materials that are needed for the body to function properly. If we get too much food, too less food , or food that gives our bodies wrong instructions, our body might become prone to development of diseases and conditions, such as diabetes or other heart disease.

Food we eatprovides us with nutrients, Nutrients are the nourishing substances in food that are essential for the growth, development and even for the maintenance of the body. When thenutrient intake does not meet the nutrient needs, it might affect our body, the metabolic processes might slow down or even stop. Good nutrition is one of the keys to a healthy life!

We can highly improve our health by having a balanced diet. We should eat foods that are rich in vitamins and minerals. This includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, dairy etc. Healthy eating aims at consuming the "nutrient-dense" food and that too in the right quantities. However, people often think diet as that of specific weight-loss plan, but diet is simply optimizing the the types and amounts of food we eat. A good diet must always include a balance of several type of food groups, as no single food type can essentially provide everything we need for good health.

In our day to day life, we highly rely on processed foods for our needs which include artificial colors, additives, flavorings, sweeteners etc. These additives and other chemically altered substances give our bodies the wrong signals, instead of the information they need to function properly for the growth and development.

Swinging through food delivering apps or hopping into our favorite restaurant tends to happen more often than one would like to admit. Our supermarkets are full of convenient packaged foods that increasingly appeal to our taste buds, but strongly compromise our nutrition

So, in order to lead and healthy and a happy life changes must be made in the diet we take.
