Cricket is a sport the craze of which goes all round the globe whenever a world tournament happens. India is a country with one of the largest cricket fan army. Whenever there’s a match between Indian team and any other team, you’ll hardly see any supporter of the opponent if match is in India and the story is same even outside the country. At this point of hour, the ICC cricket World cup 2019 is going on in England and whenever there’s a match between India vs other team, the number of Indian supporters inside the ground are far more than of opponents.

In India the maximum fans of cricket are of the teenage group. Youngsters love the game more than any other age group do. But there are lots of factors that tend to cease them enjoy the game. One factor which stops them the most is ‘E-X-A-M-S’. Yes, exams are the biggest enemy of cricket tournaments, as thought by students or vice versa, as thought by parents.

Mostly the ICC tournaments are organized in the month of March and April when we usually have our final exams in schools and mid semester exams in colleges. Be it the 2011 WC, the 2015 WC or most of such tournaments. Not only ICC events, even IPL also is sometimes organised in such a wrong time that due to which students can’t really enjoy the sport. They get caught between studies and sport due to which they can’t really focus on any one.

Some of you may think “This is not even a serious issue man. Just a small thing. We’ve lot more big issues than this.” but sorry, this indeed is a big issue. Each time, its a young fan who has to juggle up between studies and sports and in the end, at the end, he can’t do good for anything of the two. Every time, one who does good for sports has to pay through studies and one who does good for studies has to pay through sports.

So something must be done for that. Now since ICC tournaments are hosted on a very large scale- these are international tournaments and the exams are also a big arrangement because March-April is the only time when they can take the exams so, it becomes the duty of a number of people to maintain a balance between the two:-

1. The students:-They should be the flag bearers. They are the one who should maintain a healthy balance between the two things. Both are equally important and due to one the other one should not get disturbed.

2.The Parents:- No matter how much intelligent a child is he still needs a smart advice and here comes the role of parents who should guide the child how to make a perfect balance out of two equally important things. But they should not scold the children for watching cricket but rather they should help them so that they can perfectly manage the two things, without causing any harm to any of the two things.

3.School Authorities:- They should try to organize exam on such a daythat it doesn’t falls a day after or before a match day. Due to this, children can easily focus on studies and after giving the exam on a day they can enjoy their game also.

But this will not happen until we accept the problem and try to get a solution as we do for any other problem.
