In today's world each and everything is a trend. Even if you are not a social person, if any one from your friends or family posts his/her vacation pics or if it is some happening news about your favorite celebrity , there is no way you can stay away without a glance.

Often people seem to wear a mask stating they do not want to share the happenings in their life to the public but then they are the ones who secretly enjoy their venture across media pages.

There is nothing wrong in being a social media person as far as we stay within our own boundary limits it is all fun.

In recent times , the social media is a powerful means to raise views, fight for the right and voice opinion. But then shockingly it is also becoming a platform for stalkers and abusers to use it to their advantage which is in no way right.

It becomes a crucial responsibility on parents to have an eye on the social media exposure towards school going children and even college goers. It is no way a need or a fashion for teen kids to explore social media pages .

Parents who use their kids pictures and videos, post it for fun should keep in mind that they are opening a can of worms , they set the path for their kids to follow which should be highly restricted and age appropriate.

I strongly feel the social media should be age appropriate and have filter options for tweets in twitter or pictures/videos in facebook . Similar to Youtube there should be an option for parental restriction , that will set it right for kids to just view some pages with some control over parents.

Anything which is limited is certianly good for self and society - the exposure towards social media is a slow medicine which stirs a need in anyone from celebrity to a politician to a home maker to our next door neighbour to keep self updated on the events and happenings.

Let us use it with some social responsibility and be an ideal role model for children to look upon us !
