I still remember when I heard the news on news channels , Michael Jackson the king of pop , is dead at 50.

It left me awestruck and was not able to realise for a second what had happened. Say what you want about him, but I will always love Michael Joseph Jackson with my whole heart, and here's why.

Here are some of the reasons why Michael Jackson will always remain the king of pop in the world.

1. His music is the best

This one is so obvious, but it still needs to be said. Want to dance the night away to PYT, You Rock My World or Bad? Be my guest. How about belting your heart out to the ballads like I Just Can't Stop Loving You or She's Out of My Life? Heck yeah. Or what about some of his "lesser known" stuff, if that's even possible, like Do You Know Where Your Children Are, Streetwalker or Morphine? Check them out ASAP. Or maybe you're in the mood for some angry MJ. They Don't Care About Us and Leave Me Alone have got you covered. Gentle Michael more your style? You Are Not Alone, Heal the World and Earth Song have your name written all over it.

Some of the best songs by an all time great.

2. His Dance moves

At the peak of his career MJ was the perfect ideal for moonwalk, many legitimately taught themselves to moonwalk. The crotch grab has MJ written all over it. His dance moves were jaw-dropping and passionate, and that's the beauty of it.

3. His style:

The Thriller jacket. The Beat It Jacket. The white suit from Smooth Criminal. THE GLOVE. Jackson's style was so impressive that everyone be it youngsters or elder everyone used to copy his style.

4. Thriller is the worldwide best selling album of all time.

It is the first and only album to go 30 times multi-platinum, which basically means Thriller has had more than 30 million sales in the USA alone. Worldwide, Thriller reigns supreme with over 100 million sales. Spending 37 weeks at the top of the Billboard charts, it also holds the record for most weeks spent at #1.

5. He is in the Rock and Roll hall of fame: twice

One with the Jackson 5, once as a solo artist. He also has two stars on the Walk of Fame.

6. He has 23 Guinness World Records, 40 Billboard Awards, 13 Grammys, and 26 American Music Awards

In 1984 alone, Jackson won 8, yes 8, Grammys, holding the record for the most Grammys won in one year.

7. He was an activist:

It was always Jackson who could be found standing up for what he believed in or was against, whether it be starvation, AIDS, war, gang violence, race relations, or the environment. He was never afraid of speaking up.

8. He had the most outrageous pets:

Among them are Muscles the Boa, Louis and Lola the llamas and the most famous of them all, Bubbles the chimpanzee. Bubbles was adopted by Jackson from a cancer research clinic in Texas at the age of three.

9. He has the biggest heart.

We Are the World is just the tip of the iceberg. Jackson donated the $1.5 million he made on the famous Pepsi commercial, He donated the proceeds from the sales of Man in the Mirror to Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, a camp for children who suffer from cancer. In 1989, Jackson donated tickets to his Bad tour to underprivileged children, and the proceeds from one of his shows in Los Angeles were donated to Childhelp USA, the biggest charity-organization against child-abuse.

He has influenced all Indian and foreigners and whom not with his influencing style and with all his greatest achivements, he is still the No-1
