Blurb:

When in love, you tend to take each other for granted, and sometimes, that can cost you a lifetime of togetherness . . .

Ronnie knew that his first crush was way out of his league, and yet he pursued and wooed Adira. Shyly and from a distance in the beginning, and more persuasively later. He couldn't believe it when the beautiful Adira actually began to reciprocate, falling in love with him for his simplicity and honesty.

Slowly, as they get close and comfortable with each other, life takes on another hue. From truly magical it becomes routine. There are fights and then making-up sessions-a clash of egos and doubts.

Things begin to change for the worst.

It is too late.

Ronnie and Adira will probably never find their forever after . . .

My view:

Love stories have always fascinated me. I'm a sucker for romance novels. I have read all types of romantic novels by many Indian authors but trust me when I say, this book by Shravya Bhinder is something completely different.

Even though this is a romance novels, the twists and turns will keep you hooked till the end. The protagonist of the novel Raunak (Ronnie) falls in love with Adira when they were in college. Since Ronnie was a shy boy there were many obstacles that he had to face in professing his love. And thus the story revolves around how Ronnie is able to win over Adira, how they fall in love, the obstacles they face during the time they fall in love and what happens after they are together. It portrays all the difficulties faced by a couple and also their feelings. The exceptional climax showed that life had taught 'Ronnie' a best lesson that he never thought even in his dreams. This climax of the story, however, left me completely heartbroken. It was heart-wrenching and one cannot easily overcome the sadness felt during reading it.

The characters are made relatable so that you can feel what they are feeling and understand what they are going through. They are also well developed as well as loveable. The writing style is quite easy to understand and can be read by most. It is simple, straight and gripping.

I especially loved the fact that the author made the protagonist to be a shy, introvert boy rather than your regular 'macho' type extrovert guys. It shows that there are different types of boys in the world and that not all boys are loud and extrovert , showing off their strength. I also loved the attractive, beautiful cover which added up to the reason for me reading the book. One could learn a lot of things from reading thid book as it showed the constant struggle of a person trying to deal with his inner emotions, how when you take someone for granted it can lead to your own downfall and how difficult it becomes to handle yourself when you let your anger take over. However it did feel somewhat like a bollywood movie, which is not a bad thing, as it had all the stereotypical ingredients to make it one- the over concerned Indian aunties, the picturesque description, etc.

This fast paced novel is definitely recommended to all lovers of the romance genre. Pick this book up and I assure you, you'll not regret it!
