From the past decades, toxic masculinity has become a catchall explanation for male violence. But there's one thing that we all need to know. Toxic Masculinity doesn't target a single gender. It has different definitions and meanings for everyone. Toxic Masculinity is very complex, it is a phrase that misunderstood, can seem wildly insulting and even bigoted.

In psychology, toxic masculinity refers to traditional cultural masculine norms that can be harmful to men, women and society overall. The concept is not intended to demonize men or male attributes.

There are some blind and false beliefs of toxic masculinity like interactions between men and women always has to be competitive with lack of cooperation. Another is, the idea that violence is the answer to everything and that real men solve their problems through violence. The biggest one is that real men needs to be strong and showing emotions is a sign of weakness, unless it's anger, that is considered okay?

After learning about toxic masculinity, I must say this, everyone needs to do better.
A survey held which tells us that, young men who conform to traditional definitions of manhood are more likely to suffer harm to themselves, as a barrier to mental health.

I love some good old fashioned human consistency.
Water is always wet, Pizza is always good. No matter how many people it kills, we will never have a toxic masculinity, and how it hurts us all.

Even the worst Tom Hanks movies will still be pretty solid.

And for those folks that keep saying we're zoning in on a gender when we say toxic masculinity.
Masculinity is a character trait, not a sex characteristic. The only reason we say "masculinity" is because it's easy to have the reader visualize it, because we ascribe certain traits to certain people with specific sex characteristics.

Femme-presenting folks are still capable of being emotionally unavailable and physically threatening or abusive, and being too prideful to admit fault. If we address toxic masculinity, all gender will benefit.

The world need changes!
