“How can you be so barbaric and willingly kill someone? That’s murder!”

You have to keep trying to make sure that is person lives even though it’s against his/her own will but, they’ll have to stay alive because apparently, it’s “murder” even if the patient is in no condition to stay alive.

One thing which people need to know is that there is a huge difference between the killing or murdering and euthanasia. If one is begging to be killed and if you do it, you’re not committing a sin, in fact you are just helping the person and relieving him/her from the pain and suffering.

While it is still debated in many parts of the world and in India up till recently too whether euthanasia should be legalised or not considering the misuse of this liberty, because after all, it is someone’s life which is at stake! Hence, every country has its own laws regarding this issue.

Personally, I feel as much as it will be difficult to see your loved ones in a state of extreme pain, it would unimaginable to losing them but would you rather let them suffer than relieve them of their pain forever? Finally give them this one thing which they would have wanted and finally set them free from their agony? Even though this one last thing is death?

There are people who have lost hope and faith in life and have internally given up the will to survive yet, we forcibly want to keep them alive through artificial methods and by attaching tubes and feeding them through it only for their own satisfaction to say that the person is alive but in what condition, at what cost and for what reason?

A person who is alive because of artificial methods is clearly in no state to know about what is happening around and let’s not forgot how hospital bills burn a hole in everyone’s pocket! And coming to the reason, it’s just a sentimental value. When you let your emotions overpower your judgement is when you take such decisions because in a situation where a person cannot breathe naturally, is unable to even move and is probably in a coma with multiple organ failures, do you really think the person would want to be alive in such a state? Do you think it would be easier for his family to take care of him? In such a situation, wouldn’t euthanasia be the wise decision?

Every coin has two sides and in the same way even this issue has a bad side to it. The ill effects to euthanasia would be murder of course! Killing someone under the name of euthanasia and then covering it up by saying that the person was suffering. But doesn’t that happen even without euthanasia?

So why do people still look at you as an inhumane person when you say that you believe in euthanasia and that it should be legal everywhere?
