This article is not written for any promotional matter. It is a way of appreciation for a company that is changing the the way we see things around being a citizen of the city. We often hear people commenting, “Government is corrupted”, “Everyone is busy in filling their pockets” and a lot of similar things. We find such people almost everywhere who simply talk about what others SHOULD DO but we hardly find anyone saying THIS IS WHAT WE WILL DO irrespective of what others say.
A few months back I returned to my hometown, Junagadh in Gujarat. Junagadh is a small town in Saurashtra region of Gujarat. When I had left Junagadh around 5 years back, people could hardly use the internet. It was the time of cyber cafes. But when I returned things were completely different. Social Media was all over the place. However, I never expected Junagadh to be so social-media friendly. People of Junagadh were clicking pictures and sharing them over the social media websites. Restaurants, Resorts, Fashion Boutiques, everyone had their own page on Facebook and Instagram. What amazed me the most was the presence of a Marketing Company of the Junagadh Origin, Noble Digiventures.
If you go through its website, it calls itself a digital marketing company that provides marketing services by its wide-ranging techniques. But what I realized is that the real mission of this company is in its name. They don’t just call it ‘AAPDU’ Junagadh but I think they really mean it. Till date people in Junagadh were simply using the social media for chatting, sharing statuses, uploading selfies and all other unproductive activities. But Team Aapdu Junagadh, a subsidiary under Noble Digiventures shifted the Junagadh people (Junagadhians from now on) from unproductivity to productivity.
It gives a kind of recognition to the Junagadhians by posting the photographs of Junagadh clicked by the same selfie lovers.
It also helped various artists like singers, musicians, painters, dancers, photographers, etc. to get popular across the city through their “Artist of the Week” Programme that held on Youtube as well as “AJ Open Mic” that they began this Diwali.
Along with this, it helps people to know about the events happening in the city through their social media pages.
It also offers various marketing related knowledge through its blog.
Moreover, it is astonishing to see how it is indirectly contributing the tourism industry of Junagadh by sharing the historical stories and the pictures of various parts of Junagadh.
They also organized an AJ Meetup to bring the talent of Junagadh at one place so as to get the ideas connected and give a platform to the people within the city.
They also invite experts to conduct workshops in the field of Photography, Rangoli and Clay Modelling.
I believe that if they keep going in the way they are at present, soon the fresh talent will not have to run to other cities for a decent job or work. Thus, not all work with the only intention of earning. Some actually work for their place, their people, their city, their country. Aapdu Junagadh is one of the best examples of the same.
