An insult to the original Death Note!!

Death Note is a 2017 American neo-noir supernatural thriller film loosely adapted from the Japanese manga of the same name created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The film is directed by Adam Wingard and written by Charles Parlapanides, Vlas Parlapanides, and Jeremy Slater. The film stars Nat Wolff, Lakeith Stanfield, Margaret Qualley, Shea Whigham, Paul Nakauchi, Jason Liles and Willem Dafoe, and follows the story of an introverted Seattle high school student named Light Turner, who finds a mysterious supernatural notebook known as the "Death Note", which can kill anyone whose name is written in its pages.

(Before I shared the trailer of anime version of death note now see the Netflix version! And yaa don't fall for the trailer the actual reality I have explained below!)

This is a total waste of time and this movie should have never been made, it's an insult to the original Death Note. The plot was totally ruined since it was changed from the original, yeah they kept the premise but they decided it was a good idea to mix it up with stupid teen drama/relationship and a bunch of other nonsensical BS.

Skip it and watch the original instead

As a fan of the original Death Note anime, I am very disappointed in this film. It was poorly acted, horribly paced, and the drama felt more edgy than composed. The characters personalities were completely changed to the point where I didn't see why they even bothered maintaining the original names and The events of the story were changed so drastically I forgot that I was watching Death Note. In the original anime both L and Light were very calm and rational in how they made each decision, creating a suspenseful psychological drama, but in the film both of them do things that were very out of character and essentially made no sense. Overall this felt very rushed and poorly directed, I wouldn't be surprised if the director had never even heard of the original anime before doing this film.

Those who have watched Death Note Anime could relate easily, In this movie Light Turner (Light Yagami) had lost his mother and the director has forgot to add light's sister in the movie!

When we were watching the anime even though seeing humogous deaths in the episode it was neat and calm deaths but in the movie the deaths have been shown in a such a way that we audience should book an extra heart or should be prepared for heart transplant after watching some weird & mind distrubing scenes of death!-_-

Ultimately, we Death Note fans after watching the movie our expression is already shown by the Light Turner!
