Indians (42%) in the US seemed to be more homesick and lonelier than other international students (32% overall), says a study. another survey reveals that strong family bonds is the major reason why students studying in abroad were unhappy. 400,000 Indian studentsare applying to study abroad every year. Ghar ka khaana, ma-baap ka pyaar are as essential for us as air and water, so it comes as no surprise that Indians among all international students in the United States struggle the most with loneliness and homesickness. another major reason of students studying abroad is the financial problems which their families are facing due to arranging huge amount of cash for their foreign studies. In India it’s a natural phenomenon that children live with their parent’s right from birth till their children’s marriage. and sometimes even after their marriage these are exceptional cases. But the thing is that they are quite used to the Indian environment and their involvement with their families but when they shift to abroad countries the whole environment is different there. The major reasons why Indian students are going abroad is that they want to earn money, to improve their standard of living, while some students just don’t want to stay here. they are just following trend . some are influenced by the peer pressure. Some don’t find any job here. And this factor is also one of the major reasons why Indian students are going abroad. Most of the families in India don’t have such a big amount available with them at a time. So they usually take loans from banks, financial intermediaries or money lenders. Which in return demand huge amount of interest with the principle amount. and in order to pay these debts they may take further loans which can impose a serious problem. This is one of the major reasons why Indian students and their families are in a lot of pressure .Indians (out of 63% overall) found cost of living to be too high in the US. I can only suggest that while deciding Study Destination and an Institute, keep your budget in mind. You have range of options available to choose from which will match to your budget. Moreover if a child is introvert then there are better chances for him\her to open up to the environment. This will become a motivation factor for every introvert student.
