India is a place which is known for its unity in diversity. People with different religions, caste, colour are living in india happily. They have their different cuisines, desserts, sweets etc but there are few sweets that are common in every street and city of India and could be find anywhere. Everything have a speciality, so do these sweets have. Whoever comes to india , love its scenic beauty and its food and desserts. There are more than thousands of sweets in sweet shops in india but these are the sweets that could even be found on the nukkad vali mithai ki dukaan. And these famous and common Indian sweets are following:

JALEBI

It is a mouth watering sweet that is made by batter of deep drying floor and sugar. It is quietly famous in north and western areas of india. It is of different types like imarti, paneer ki jalebi, jaleba, jangiri, rabdi jalebi etc. It could be aet laone or with milk or curd. Most people liked it thin crust and some like soft and thick jalebis.

LADDU

Laddu is an Indian sweet made with floor and sugar. It is eaten in every part of india. There are many kinds of laddus like boondi ke laddu, gond ke laddu, motichoor ke laddu, besan ke laddu etc. Every place have its special kind of laddus but boondi ke laddu are familiar in every parts of india.

BARFI

Barfi is a very common word as it is name of an Indian sweet and a bollywood movie. It is also made with floor and some times with milk and sugar and dry fruits. Few common barfis are mawe ki barfi, kaju ki barfi, gajar ki barfi, loki ki barfi etc. All of these barfis are loved by the Indian citizens. There are different seasonal barfis too. These sweets are available on every small and big shops.

RASGULLA

It is famous in the regions of west Bengal but found in every part of india. It is white in colour. It is a milk based product made with chhena and sugar. Its neither expensive and affordable to everyone. Gulabjamun is laso like rasgulla but is brown in colour and made with fried milk balls nad sugar syrum.

These are some common sweets in india but instead of these there are many other sweets that are not common as these but could be found everywhere and they are kaju katli, kala kand, soan papdi, petha, boondi, balushahi, peda etc. And some of the season sweets are ghewar,phirni, gajar ka halwa, goonjiya etc.
