Teardrops fell from Sapna's face. as she held her mother's hand
Sorrow filled her broken heart, as she fought to understand
Why was her Mom dying, why should she let her go.
As her fears grew stronger, Sapna felt her panic grow.
But in the present moment, Sapna couldn't say good-bye

Instead, she stood there silently as her mother watched her cry.

As if her mother read her mind, or maybe her heart
She spoke out her final words, intending to leave her mark.
"There are so many things I need to say, well before I go,
Time is of essence dear and it's important that you know.......
That sometimes, you'll feel powerless, believing you can't win,
What others think of you will be the image you'll hold within
The pressures to be perfect will make you doubt yourself
It may escape you Sapna dear but in your heart do deliver.
For all that is remarkable, in you I do so clearly see.

If you can't believe that yourself, at least believe in me.
Show them what you deserve in this world
Lead by example, to inspire every girl.
Even when you stumble, and you feel you don't belong
Take pride in all that you are a woman, who is strong,
That's God's design in making you and all that's in this earth
Though you may not realize it, you have tremendous worth.
A butterfly may seem delicate and fragile to the eye,
But don't you see this simple fact; it has what takes to fly?"

Sapna's Mother closed her eye's; her life on was gone,
but her words reminded Sapna to be alive and strong.

For in her mother's words, was a message clear and true

"there is nothing in this world that women cannot do."
When Sapna things smilingly of the little girls on earth,
who feel ignored and are unaware of their own true worth.
She hears her mother's voice so sweet in the soft breeze floating by
Look out and see the butterfly has what it takes to fly!
