Everyone has to go through a teenager phase in life. It’s the most sensitive and crucial phase in life as I say it to be. As soon as we step in the shoes of being a teenager we shift from our fairy land to understanding the reality.Parents initiate our training for having a sustainable lifestyle in our future when we are adults. Every parent expects the best in their child so sometimes we teenagers don’t understand that and take it as being pressured though some parents really do so that their child can go in the best university have the best education have a high profile job and have everything THE BEST. But in this process they forget that as teenagers it’s too much for us. At this point of time all we need is support to understand what talents we have stored in us, what’s our passion and what are we best at. This can be done only by exposing ourselves to everything, learning new things and understanding what that one thing we love the most is and this needs family and friends support.
Friends influence us the most in this phase! That’s why it is said the kind of friends you choose describe you in a way. We are introduced to new things through many ways but mostly through friends and sometimes having a wrong company of friends lead us to destroy our crucial stage of life. This phase either help us to build ourselves to be a successful person in future or someone who struggles all his life regretting they could have done better in life just a little focus, hard work, dedication, positive encouragement was required.
Every teenager has to go through some struggles be it in studies, be it of family issues, and be it of having some social standing. Mainly we compare ourselves to the one person who is perfect in our frame of life i.e. the person who is having a strong social standing, talented in cultures, in studies in short for us its being perfect person. Our aim shouldn’t be of comparing ourselves and being perfect in every field but being a good human being and getting perfect in what we do. Everyone has its uniqueness why don’t try polishing our uniqueness. This will help us in eradicating the feeling of jealously.
Depression is a favourite word for all teenagers. There is always a setback time where we feel unserviceable and hopeless just because we cannot be as perfect as we thought we can be. Being perfect for us comes from comparing ourselves to others and when we are unable to match our own standards we get depressed start to take drugs, anti-depressive pills, and what not just because we don’t want to show our weakness. This is not the solution try comparing what we lack in and try to improving it. Rather than getting into bad influences taking up things that actually harms your body and your future as well.
Irony is we teenagers understand what’s wrong and right for us still sometimes being impulsive, stubborn and short temper lead us to choose the wrong way knowing it is wrong. I would suggest everyone to be calm, come to a conclusion only when you fully know every detail of the situation, and be responsible and strong enough to accept the outcomes of your decisions.
