“Freedom is the oxygen of the soul.”Moshe Dayan
Freedom is to have space and freeness in doing what one loves to do without having to give an explanation or getting a permission to do it. Freedom is an important aspect in one’s life. Without freedom, our lives would be like prisoners in jail, asking for permissions for every little thing and not being able to practice free will decisions at all. Human beings when bounded, feel trapped and suffocated. We all love freedom, and we all hate being put within certain boundaries.
“The secret to happiness is freedom, and the secret to freedom is courage.”
Freedom will never be provided to you. You need to be courageous and ask for it. But firstly you have to know what you love to do and you should also know if it is the right thing to do or not, for yourself. Asking for freedom for things such as drinking alcohol and smoking is never a good thing. Freedom is not about being able to do wrong things but to do the right things.
Freedom helps you to be mature, responsible and an independent person. It gives you courage to speak for what you want, and not being forced about the things you don’t like and don’t want to do. Still in India, there are places where girls are not given freedom to do things they love to do but they are forced to do things that are good for reputation of the family. People should understand good reputation comes from being a good human being. Forcing someone to do things they don’t like does not give you good reputation. It shows how narrow minded you are.
“Revolution is an inalienable right of mankind. Freedom is an imperishable birth right of all.”
Freedom is never given to you! You have to fight for it, or simply ask for it. As kids we are bounded just so that we can be protected but when we grow up these protection boundations seem to suffocate us so we ask for freedom. You will never know if you can be free of the boudation or not, unless and until you ask about it or fight to be free.

You can torture me,
You can even destroy this body,
But you will never imprison my mind.”Mahatma Gandhi
