It might be slowlykilling you and you don't even know why.

Do you know that there could be something so dangerous that it is almost killing you but you can't even see it? It's there, it was always there, but you just didn't know. You feel it but you don't know. It grows and grows and creeps up on you silently and devastates you. It kills you from inside slowly and slowly and you don't know still. Until the very end. That's stress for you, my friend. Out of all the things in the world, Stress is the silent killer that you should be aware of.

HOW? Ask why and before that I want to tell you WHAT IS STRESS? Because in order to avoid it, you first gotta understand it.

WHAT IS STRESS?

In a medical or biological context, stress is a physical, mental, or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental tension. It's a state of mental tension and worry caused by problems in your life, work, etc., something that causes strong feelings of worry or anxiety, physical force or pressure. Stress is often referred to as ‘the silent killer’ and is linked to heart disease, chest pain and, high blood pressure. You can experience stress from your body, your environment, and your thoughts.

It triggers a ‘flight or fight response’ to either fight the stressor or run away from it.Stress can occur in many different ways. Work pressure, the pressure of completing tasks within deadlines or problems in relationships, failing at something constantly or regretting some decisions you made in past. The reasons can be endless. Most of the time, people don't even realize what's causing them to stress this much. They are unaware of having stress in the first place. Therefore, it's important to know the effects/symptoms of stress.

Effects of stress-

  • Weight gain

  • High blood pressure

  • Sleep problems

  • Lack of energy

  • Type 2 diabetes

  • Osteoporosis

  • Mental cloudiness (brain fog)

HOW STRESS ACTS AS A SILENT KILLER?
Too much constant stress can lead to long-term health problems. It can compel a person to start drinking or smoking or consume drugs to avoid feeling stressed all the time. Well, all of these could act as a temporary solution but, they turn out to be the silent killers that will slowly make you lose everything. Stress can often make a person do things out of his/her reach and physical and mental capabilities. It decreases the chances of surviving and may create a severe risk of heart disease. People dealing with stress can tend to take their own lives by committing suicides to get rid of stress. And therefore, it is advised to avoid stress.

The real question remains How? How to avoid stress? How to deal with it once you have it? How to defend yourself to prevent stress from killing you?

Here's how,
Try staying happy all the time. Be with people who make you feel better or enlightened. Stop focusing on how stressed you are and remember how blessed you are.

Stress less, Go for a walk, dance it out, breathe it out, sleep earlier, talk about it. Let go of worrying, let go of guilt, of fear, of regrets, of anger. Reminisce about good times, think about what you can control, think about your dreams, your strengths, look for opportunities in life's challenges and above all, don't forget to Smile.

BECAUSE THAT SMILE, THAT DAMNED SMILE, CAN KILL STRESS.
