It Is Rape And Not *Non Consensual Sex*

Rape, the most normalised issue in our country where one rape news does shatter our minds and hearts for days and weeks but months later we are back to our normal lives as if nothing happened and wipe out that rage within us with a very vague and dismal belief that "ab kya kar sakte hai".

The shameful thing as a citizen of India we could hear from anyone is that the capital of our country is also known as " The Rape Capital" of the country. But why should we be ashamed? Isn't it the people among us who still think that it is a girl's fault that they like to wear short clothes (to seek men's thirsty eyes and useless hands) and that *Rape is consensual* ?

Ok, welcome to 2019 guys, understand this and it is not at all difficult to understand that there is no such thing called "non- consensual sex", it is a freaking *RAPE*. If a person is being forced to be a victim of any kind of sexual activity without his/her consent it is a RAPE and please open your mind to marital rape (MAGIC !! yes it exists) because women don't give away the ownership of their body to their so called husband who consider their wife as a mere property.

Let me make you guys read to the psychology of some insane mindsets of our country who think that it is women who give consent to men to rape them because without anyone's consent no one has even the guts to reach out to any person for a talk (FUN FACT: the number of cases pertaining to kidnapping of women and girls were 3055 in 2016-17 and it increased to 3494 in 2017-2018 in Haryana. OOPS!!).

This brings me to you a word,

1. give permission for something to happen.

We were taught this word when we were in school but we were never really taught the real significance of this word. Consent, for this word to be understood I wish we would have been aware enough that consent of a child is as important as that of an adult but we fail as a society to adapt this habit of taking consent of the subject (person here), be it just for a picture or for any kind of an affair.

So, dear beautiful men and women, there is no such thing as "non consensual sex". It is either sex or rape.
