It all starts from Hye-Jin asking her best friend to pretend to be her in front of Sung-Joon as she is not confident in the way she looks, and times were quite different when they had last seen each other. The story continues with Sung Joon thinking as someone else to be Hye-Jin, while later ends up working with the real one and develops feelings for her. Due to her strength, Min-Hyuk decides to hire her as his bodyguard since he had been getting several threats. Bong Soon has a crush on In Guk-doo, a police officer played by actor Ji-Soo and tries her best to impress him. Her dream is to create a video game with herself as the main character and asks Min-Hyuk for his help. When a series of kidnapping occurs in her neighborhood and she decides to catch the culprit. Min-Hyuk helps her along the way, and soon their relationship blossoms into something new.

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

This is one of the healthiest dramas to exist, a story that just brings a smile to your face. The story revolves around a girl named Kim Bok Joo, who is a naturally gifted weightlifter who along with her two friends is professionally learning weightlifting. Jung Joon Hyung played by Nam Joo Hyuk who is a talented swimmer and studies in the same university as Bok Joo. Bok Joo accidentally meets Joon-Hyung’s brother and she falls in love with him because of his kind and gentle personality. The story develops and so does each character in the drama. Bok Joo and Joon Hyung develop this sweet friendship and soon fall in love with one another. You can’t help but ‘aww’ at them when they show up on the screen all lovey-dovey!

What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim

Another love story starring the very talented Park Seo-Joon as the arrogant heir Lee Young Joon and Park Min Young as the perfectionist secretary Kim Mi Soo. When one day Mi Soo decides to resign and try to find her true self, it makes her boss go a little crazy and desperate to make sure she doesn’t leave his side, makes him do all kinds of things even proposing marriage. Mi Soo tries her best to stay away but slowly realizes that she is dependent on him as much as he is on her and discovers that they share a deeper history long before she became his secretary. This consists of humor, drama, secrets and much more and is an entertaining drama that should be definitely watched.

Gangnam Beauty is a drama adapted from a webtoon with a similar title starring Im Soo-Hyang, Cha Eun-woo, Jo Woo-ri, and Kwak Dong-Yeon. The story revolves around the life of a college student who undergoes cosmetic surgery to evade her bullies, but somehow the plan backfires. This is one drama that should be included in your list. It promotes self-love and that one should accept themselves the way they are. The drama received a lot of praise for its portrayal of issues such as superficial beauty standards and discrimination based on physical appearance. After all, looking good should not be the only purpose of life.
