Summers have begun so are the holidays to school and colleges. Many of us plan trips to popular destinations in India. We are blessed with so many historical and beautiful monuments throughout our country. And thus after a lot of research you decide to go to Gujarat. A place famous for its food, rich cultural heritage, dance and of course Rann of kutch.

So what are the famous places to visit in Gujarat during summers?

There are many historical places to visit in Gujarat. An estimate shows there are more than 50 places to give a visit. Here we will sort the list to top 5 places to visit in Gujarat to help you decide.

1.Rann of kutch

Rann of kutch is a large area located in thar desert, Gujarat. Kutch is seasonally covered in salt marsh hence named Rann (salt marsh) of kutch. This place is famous for its spectacular views of nature. You may feel that the whole place is painted white in color as the salt marsh is spread in miles. People love to enjoy camel rides, blue skies, and sunset in Kutch. It never feels that you are on earth (or in India). The place is extreme quiet, free from pollution and litters. Place like this would be a great escape from your busy, polluted and fast life. Rann of Kutch has an utsav (festival) every year in the month of November. In summers its more likely to have clear skies and astonishing views for you to click some memorable pictures. 2.Shree Dwarkadhish Temple

Shree Dwarkadhish Temple is known to be among the biggest temples in India. Dwarkadhish Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is believed to be about 2000 years old. It is a five stories temple supported by 72 huge pillars. Devotes from all around the world visit the temple to get the blessings of Lord Krishna. The temple is a part of Char Dham and is considered sacred by Hindus. The place is surely a GO AND VISIT as the architecture of temple is mind blowing. It is located at costal side in Dwarka 225 kilometers from Rajkot, Gujarat.

3.Gir National park

Gir National park mostly famous for sigthings of Asiatic lions and innumerous wildlife.

4.Statue of Unity

Statue of Unity is made in remembrance of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who were the first Home minister of Independent India and chief adherent of Mahatma Gandhi. The statue is not only a famous tourist place but is the biggest statue in the world. It was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 October 2018. You should surely give a visit and know about great Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. There is something special inside the statue, visit and know it yourself.

5.Rani ki Vav

Rani ki Vav is a famous stepwell situated in Patan, Gujarat. Rani ki Vav was built as a memorial to an 11th-century king Bhimdev Solanki by his beloved wife queen Udayamati. The place was also awarded as cleanest iconic place in India at Indian sanitation conference. Its surely a GO VISIT as the stepwell has mesmerizing structural designs and is perfect for photography. You might have a question about why I haven’t mentioned forts and museums. Forts in summers are a NO GO. You will get tired and you may feel dehydrated and fall sick after visiting Forts in summers. Surely you can visit them again in monsoon or in winters. Museums can be interesting but since most of them don’t allow cameras in there, you can’t capture moments. Also to seek information, you can look up on internet. But you cannot relive the moments that you will spend in the above mentioned places as they give you experience which you may not seek anywhere else.
