So, let's just dig in…

  1. Gyanganj, a place in the Himalayas.

The snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas might seem beautiful but they hide lots of mysteries in them. One mystery that beats all the others is the mysterious city of immortal beings, known by names such as Gyanganj, Shambala, Siddhashram and many more.

It is believed that the place is hidden away from civilization, by camouflaging itself, or some believe that it is in another dimension, altogether. The immortal beings living here is said to influence the proceedings of the world and guard several secret teachings of the religions.

2.Skeleton Lake, a lake in Uttarakhand.

Also known by the name of Mystery Lake, this glacial water body is shallow and when the snow melts, hold your breath, several human skeletons are said to appear in it. Initially, it was believed to be from the 19th century but later it was alleged that it was an effect of mass deaths during 9th century A.D.

3.Dow Hill, in Kurseong.

Covered by towering trees that do not let sunlight peep through them and the misty air around it, all these make Dow Hill a perfect backdrop for a horror flick, or story. Well, if you think that is it, then you are wrong because this place has a mystery of its own. The apparition of a headless boy disappearing into the woods, traveling from the road and vanishing into the dense forest, is infamous here.

4.Khooni Nadi, in Delhi.

As is visible from the name, a Nadi where some of the most unexplainable things happen, the water body flows across Rohini in Delhi. It is believed that anyone who enters the river gets sucked into it by a mysterious force. There are several who have lost their lives here and the reason is unknown.

Well, the list can go on and on because there aren't any lack of stories and folktales in India. But, at the end of the day, it all depends on your beliefs because it is the belief that moves the mountains and not reason.
