Preparing For The Civil Services Exam

Many a people join the race of beocming the best, of having to gain a red light on top of their cars. The power, prestige and postion enjoyed by someine in the Civil servies makes this profession so lucrative.

About 8 lakh people fill ou their application forms to compete for the coveted services Of these only 4 lakh, that is fifty percent show up for the actual exam. Even after this, close to 15,000 candidates are then called for the next stage of the exam, which is the mains exam. Once people are through with that, the next stage is that of the interview. Of the 15,000 only about 3,000 are called fir the interview. that is close to one third of the candidtaes.

Once they clear the interview, inly about 700 odd candidates are selected and recruited for the services. The wafer thin margins of gettinng through makes it such a tough exam.
