...Whatever or whoever it is, I'm grateful forever.
"Merry Christmas!" This is what I sent you in Hike, and then came a flood of messages, which were stickers, saying Merry Christmas in different ways, from your end. Then New Year, which was just like any other new year before, except that I expected someone to wish me at 12. Guess, I expected too much. School started to get serious, pre - finals were around the corner. What next? Pongal vacation. Which was irritating and disturbing. Don't know why. But still yes. I missed you. It was my last birthday in school. Was feeling fun and lost at the same time.
You did wish, but still coudn't be there for the party. Friends did help me to cheer up, but still my heart waited for you.Rest was all the same for the next one month. Things were cold between us. I had other things to worry then. But one day, I just asked you directly, what's wrong, and you brushed it off, saying nothing's wrong. i guess what you meant was "There's nothing left to be wrong." I didn't let anyone know, not because they shouldn't, just because I didn't want them to.
March came, and so did our boards... and you were there, as my lucky charm, even if everything between us was lost, you still proved to be lucky. There were times, whenn between the boards, I would imagine how I would convey all that I feel for you. The boards were done, and so were we with our school. I texted you almost everyday, but you didn't care to reply.
It was for my birthday in 11th, that you wished me, and that was when I heard from you after school. And you were lost again. I don't know if you still remember me or not. but it's been more than two years since I heard anything from you. If you're reading this, then you know whose story this is.
But anyways, thanks for teaching that perfect endings only exist in movies and not outside. I don't know where you are, or what you're upto or anything about you. I just want you to know that wherever and however you are I will always wish for the best in your life.
PS: This is not my story. However I'm grateful to the people who think this is mine. This is an amalgum of a true story of a close friend of mine and fiction.
