This is a beautiful phrase that I have heard from my childhood. The best example of this is India. India is a country which has unity without uniformity and diversity without fragmentation. India is a country with varied culture, religion, habits, languages and 29 states, each with different kinds of people, just separated by a boundary line. There is a beautiful saying that from Kashmir to Kanyakumari India is one.

This unity can be found from kids to adults all over India. It is taught from school. The best example is wearing uniform to school. Students are asked to wear uniform to school to keep them united and not to show difference in their casts.

Though we are told that India has many cast issues here and there but 80% people are united. This unity is found even in politics. For example when Congress won its election for prime minister then Sonia Gandhi was in the highest position and she was asked to become the Prime Minister of our country but she asked our former prime minister Man Mohan Singh to become to take up the role. The president then was Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. He readily accepted him as Prime Minister. Though we don’t speak about it, it was a proud moment for India in the world history. All three are from different castes and religions but they were all supported by a nation made of 80% of Hindus. A Catholic lady with Italian background won the election in this country and she guided a Sikh Prime Minister who was a Punjabi and it was accepted by a Tamil President and people who elected were from different castes, religions and languages. Such a proud thing to speak about.

Similarly, we are ruled by a President under him is a Prime Minister and under them are a number of Chief Ministers, MPs, MLAs , Governors and many more, and not all belong to the same cast or religion or even thesame country but they all rule us with a coordination and in perfect peace.

The most beautiful one is our cultural unity. Everyone respects other culture. There is a freedom in India for people to practice their own cultural habits. We are not stopped at any point. No culture is discriminated or humiliated be it tribes or higher class, and all have their own practices and are not stopped at any cause.

When we speak about all these we must be proud to tell that we are all the children of Bharat Mata.
