We complain that nothing seems real any more but we don't give time to become real anymore. We scroll, click and double tap our lives thinking where the day goes. We're more anxious to know about others lifes and keep on downloading another app hoping that it could fix us. We gaze at pretty pictures on Instagram instead of the person standing next to us. We look at latest trends, investigate the hashtags check the reviews yet in a world with so much information we are missing wisdom of our lifes. We check social media more often than we check in with our friends. We scroll our phones while having lunch with our friends. We have to text everyone but no one to talk, everyone to follow but no one to walk with, our inbox is full but we are empty inside,we have followers but don't have real friends.
Take a step back, spend time with people who makes you forget to look at your phone. In our constant need of new information, we forget to make memories.
"Starve your distractions feed your focus".
We can't do big things if we're always distracted by the small ones. It's ok use face time but make sure you spend quality time face to face. Capture the moments when you're in love with yourself not just the moments you think people will love the most. Don't live for the approval of others. Live for yourself."
