India is such a diverse country that it contains a special menu for every special occasion whether it is a festival or any other event. India also has different types of festivals and every festival has its own menu. Here in India the food can be categorized mainly as North Indian and South Indian food. Chaat:

The dish originated in East India; the present-day states of Odisha and West Bengal have variously claimed to be its birthplace.It is made from ball-shaped dumplings of chhena and semolina dough, cooked in light syrup made of sugar.

Dosa (pancakes) from South India is a staple food in its home region. In the rest of the country too, dosas are hugely popular and other South Indian foods can be found in almost every suburb. Chole Bhature:
