South indian movies are becoming popular day by day. Success of movies like Baahubali created a huge audience in Hindi belt aswell. It is one of the reason why best south indian movies dubbed in Hindi. Here i have not added the blockbuster movies but some of the best unknown south indian movies which has been dubbed in Hindi.
Apart from this two, here lies my list of top 10.
1.) Dhruva - dubbed as Double Attack.
Story of an loyal IPS officer facing head on collision with an inhumane scientist, mastermind of all crimes in the state. It delves into day to day analysis of one’s life and how the crimes in farthest distance from us take toll on us. The cinematography was sure to viewers glued to their seats. It was a tribute to all the loyal officers out there!
2.) Rudramadevi - dubbed under the same name.
It was inspired from the life of Rudramadevi , one of the prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan, and one of the few ruling queens in Indian history. It was a 3-D film with some of the best visuals and action scenes. The dialogues and songs were even beautifully composed and delivered.
3.) Julayi - dubbed as Dangerous Khiladi.
Ravi,a simpleton dreams big of winning betting and on such a fateful day he destiny makes him encounter Bittu a gangster executing bank robbery. A well schemed thriller embedded with twists and turns and extreme brain games with the message “there is no shortcut in life!”
4.) Nannuku Prematho-
Depicts extreme love of a son for his father and how intelligently he plots to avenge his father who was was treacherously deceived and eventually ruined by his business partner. Again mind games at pinnacle it also propagates the love one should profess for his parents!
5.) Arundhati - dubbed as Arundhati- Ek Kahani Anokhi.
Dark fantasy horror film with innovative concept and well-crafted piece of art. While courage and dance formed the core of the film, winning over own fear and emerging victorious over evil was a treat to watch.
6.) Kannukkul Nilavu- dubbed as My Duty.
A romantic psychological thriller so ahead of it's time. It encompasses the story of person suffering from partial retrograde amnesia and delusions seeking fatal revenge upon the people he believes to be culprits. It takes its audience through a turbulent range of emotions like fear, sympathy, concern, love, revenge, fear, hope and responsibilities often sending chill down the spines at skillfully presented perspectives.
7.) Bhaagamathie- dubbed under the same name.
Socio-political drama essenced with horror at some turns this movie is to dramatically reveal the pinpricks of corruption and the drudgery the poor sections of the society have to endure even endangering their lives! And stellar performance from Anushka Shetty!
8.) Irumbu Thirai- dubbed as The Return of Abhimanyu.
Tech- fiction action thriller. How technology implemented in a wrong way can destroy people is the warning the film imparts. Glaringly revelant in this era of technology, it makes the viewers rack their brains and understand the pros and cons of digitization and globalization. The narrative is thoroughly intelligent, fast paced and engrossing keeping people hooked to the screen.
9.) 1 - Nenokkadine- dubbed as 1: Ek Ka Dum.
Psychological thriller. The narrative is at times hard to decode owing to numerous hallucinations the schizophrenic protagonist experiences. Howsoever the twists and turns of the story is quite enthralling and makes it appreciable feat to watch.
10.) Visharoopam - dubbed as Vishwaroop.
Espionage action thriller. Its plot is of participation of Indian security services in war against terrorism. Each and every scene was highly unpredictable and each and every character was layered difficult to decipher their actual motive. These two elements are enough to cook the curiosity of the viewers and gluing them to their seats.
