Today watching a small kid walking on road barefooted made me feel how lucky we are and how ungrateful we become. Always complaining about clothes, food and so many things, we forget how blessed we are to have quilts in winters and fans in summer. We have roofs on our heads and floors under our feet in a world where people still sleep on roads on the footpaths, having nothing to cover them. We become so busy fighting for money, craving for brands that we totally disremember people who don't even have food to eat and shoes to wear.

After all this, all we wonder is why don't these children go to school but what would education do to them when they don't even have enough food to fill their stomachs. Education isn't wrong, it’s necessary but food is compulsory. We sometimes scold these children or say abusive words but we don't think what they go through every day; they didn't choose to be beggars. Imagine what would be their reactions when the see other children walking with their parents, asking for toys and watching them get those toys also; when they can't even ask for food or a shelter. It isn't their mistake at all that they were born like this, if their parents send them to beg instead of sending them to school. We get irritated at them, we get frustrated at them, but we don't think about them . We don't think how would they feel when they go to sleep and have no home, no bed, no roof. Sleeping on the ground under the sky irrespective of weather isn't an easy job. It'snot their job to beg, it’s their obligation.

We need to understand it's not their purpose; it's what life has given to them. We all talk about providing education, government's policies or maybe their parents send them purposely to beg but what's their fault in this. They have to do this because at the end of the day, we can't survive on education only, food and shelter are the first thing we all necessitate. Life has already been harsh to them;we,being polite to them will do no harm but maybe make them feel a little good. We all talk of making world a better place to live in but we all don't try this. Changing their destiny isn't in our hands but making them smile is a small thing we must try to do.
