Cricket is considered as one of the toughest games in the history of sports.
"THE GENTLEMEN'S GAME" requires being fit inorder to play the game for a longer period of time.

Fitness has become very essential and this sport demands a cricketer to be fit inorder to play all the 3 formats of the game. To be able to go through all the fitness tests and then play to your potential , requires not only physical but a lot of mental strength.

Talking about one such cricketer who's done it all , who's turned everything he's touched to Gold , who's maintained his fitness and his lightning fast stumping behind the stumps , and his destruction with the bat , I'm talking about none other than , 'The evergreen captain cool and the world's best finisher- "Mahendra Singh Dhoni".

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is considered as an asset to the team ever since he's started playing the game.

Right from causing lightning fast stumpings behind the stumps to being fit and coming in , in the tough and crunch situations , to taking the team home safely out of such situations , he has done it all.

In the last 14 years that he's served the country as a player and then the nation's captain for 8 long years , Here's what MS. Dhoni had added to his feather of achievements.

He has become the 5^th Indian Batsmen to score 10,000 runs for India in ODI cricket. It was after Sachin Tendulkar , Sourav Ganguly , Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli that the veteran reached the milestone by scoring 51 runs of 96 balls in today's first ODI against Australia.

Not only does MS keep the wickets, he has also been batting and had captained the national side , leading them to the 3 major ICC trophies namely - The T20I World Cup , The 50 over World Cup and the ICC Champion's Trophy , besides taking the team to the Number 1 spot in the ICC Test rankings in the year 2013.

MS. Dhoni was also the Number 1 ODI Batsman in the ICC ODI RANKINGS , reaching the milestone in just 42 innings , which is still a record.

Amidst everything , with so many responsibilities in hand he always fulfilled his responsibilities at the best. His batting average never went below 50.

He is the fastest wicket keeper batsman to score 10,000 runs with the highest average , that of 50.11 as of now.

Notably , the 37 year old had scored 174 runs for the Asia Xl in 2007. He was the 12th Batsman overall to score 10,000 runs in ODI cricket , and with this innings of 51(96) he has become the 5th Indian to score 10,000 ODI runs.

With the World Cup sighting near by , this is to be taken as a positive sign that the veteran is finding his form back. His contribution behind the wickets as well as with the bat will be very crucial inorder to win the World Cup in England.
