India is a diverse nation. It is a diverse nation with different castes , Creeds , religions and sex. In terms of population , India stands 2nd in World Population , with an astonishing population of 136 billion people.

Now with that huge population , you might also have got an idea of the different castes , religions which exist in the nation. As of now , there are 9 different recognized castes namely - Hinduism , Islam , Christianity , Sikhism , Jainism and Buddhism. Zoroastrianism, Judaism and the Baha'i Faith are also practiced in India.

As per percentage is concerned , 79.8% of the population of Indiapractices Hinduismand 14.2% adheres toIslam, while the remaining 6% adheres to other religions (Christianity,Sikhism,Buddhism,Jainismand various indigenousethnically-bound faiths).Christianityis the 3rd largest religion in India. (These stats are according to the 2011 census).

Taking about castes in India , there are 3,000 different castes and 25,000 sub castes.

Being a part of such a large nation usually confuses an individual. These many castes , sub-castes , religions and what not to continue. When a child grows up , he or she gets to know about all the castes , religions and all the information that continues. One also gets to know of which caste , religion he or she belongs.

Once it's known , once the differentiation happens , once an individual is divided into a particular religion and caste that one supposedly belongs , that's where the actual problem begins.

The problem of discrimination , the problem of hate , the problem of religious superiority.

Once these things get into an individual's head, mixed thoughts start coming.

The basis of dividing people or one's own circle on the basis of caste and religion , the discrimination and the hate comes in.

The religious superiority also comes in. Just because a religion beliefs in worshipping an animal and considers it as sacred and at the same time , another religion consumes it makes it dirty , or unsafe or disgraceful , disrespectful or unholy.

One starts dividing themselves as the higher individual and the other one as the lower without even keeping the fact in mind that not everyone from a particular religion practices a particular belief. It's not mandatory. It is completely on an individual whether they practice it or not.

What happens with this is the entire religion or the community comes under the radar. The radar of criticism , hate and discrimination.

One should understand a basic concept that , once a religion comes under the radar for it's particular belief or practice , it's because of the few people of a particular religion that believe or practice. Not the entire community.

A religion is always judged on the basis of what few people of a particular religion do. That does not include everyone.

The amount of hate a Hindu has for a Muslim or a Muslim has for a Hindu is because of the few people. Not the entire religion.

One should learn to get the difference. There's not much difference or a margin of error. Watch sensibly , behave sensibly. Stop the hate towards an individual on the basis of religion.
