India is a diverse country. We've always believed in "Unity in Diversity". With a population of over 136 billion , which nearly contributes 17% to the global population.

The population has only increased with every year passing by with no similar development. The development in population is what we've seen , but not development by actual means.

Governments changed , leaders changed , but nothing has changed by the means of development. The type of change which the country desperately needs. Things carrying secondary importance have been developed but not with things which require development.

Now then when the population is known (136 billion) , let's know about the number of castes and sub-castes which exist in the country.

In a country like India , where we get to witness a new belief or a practice every single day , where people follow the new and modern beliefs and practices very actively and with utmost interest , they still lag behind with their stereotypical beliefs and practices such as CASTE.

Caste has been one of the most important and followed practice or a beliefin India since it's origin. Coming to the number of castes and sub-castes which exist in the country as of now , India consists of 3,000 different castes and 25,000 different sub-castes.

Well for a country of such population , there definitely can be 3,000 different castes. The discrimination based on status , class. It is distinguished by relative degrees of ritual purity or pollution and of social staus.

When there can be such brutal discrimination among people itself , the thought process is always different. One that a normal person cannot have or take

At one hand where people talk about development and modernization , it's a different story on the other hand. People are discriminated and are not given their basic requirements and are not allowed or are restricted to do certain things which we are absolutely correct at.

When one talks about Unity in Diversity and also talks about discrimination based on caste , it shows the double standard one has. That should be gone in order for India to develop by actual means.

Talking about one such merciless , cruel , disrespectful and unacceptable and the list just goes on and on.

This incident took place in Bhubaneshwar , Orissa where in a 17-year old was seen carrying his 45 year old mother's deceased body on a bicycle after she fell down while fetching water.

When asked why? He answered saying that he wasn't allowed to cremate the body because he and his family belonged to a "LOWER CASTE."

When the teen asked for help , none of his neighbors helped him to cremate the body. He was also stopped from entering the cremation ground due to his caste.

So with no alternative , the teen decided to take his mother's body on the bicycle and bury it in the forest. The woman is survived by a 17 year old son and a daughter.

Talking about caste and it's way of treatment , it's always under the radar. It's always been questioned. But we've never got answers.

With incidents like these it has made the people in human. Humanity no more has a value. People can go down to any extent in the name of caste.

With the present scenario and with incidents like these , the questions are still to be unanswered. India calling itself a super power and all the agendas regarding everything seems baseless when such insensitive and heartless and inhuman incidents take place.

Only time will say , what will be the fate of the country. Where will the country head towards.? Will these type of baseless and unacceptable issues ever be solved?

Let's just leave this here with time answering all the questions.
