Sholay

Sholay is a typical Bollywood drama film directed by Ramesh Sippy. Released in 1975, this film is remembered till now because of the intriguing screenplay and evergreen dialogues. The movie starts with the arrest of Gabbar Singh, the dacoit who has created havoc in a village Ramgarh by the policeman Thakur Baldev Singh. Gabbar Singh after fleeing away from the jail comes back to Ramgarh and kills the family of Thakur Baldev Singh and cuts both of his hands. Thakur Baldev Singh then seeks revenge from Gabbar Singh by hiring two ex-convicts Jai and Veeru. Veeru on coming to Ramgarh falls in love with Basanti and on the other hand, Jai has started to have feelings for radha, the daughter-in-law of Thakur Baldev Singh. The story continues with lots of twists and turns, and Jai-Veeru finally succeeding in taking the revenge.

Mughal-e-Azam

The land of the sacred Ganga and the towering Himalayas has given the world personalities whose ideas were resplendently as pure as Ganga and whose aims were lofty as the Himalayas. Four hundred and sixty-two years ago, a man named Jalaluddin Mohammed Akbar was born in this land. History has recorded that this Mughal Emperor sprinkled the dust of the motherland with his blood. 'Mughal-E Azam’ is a page from the golden history of the land of Akbar. Akbar was a lover of Hindustan. And his son Nuruddin Mohammad Salim loved a frightened little palace main, Anarkali. In this tussle, the destiny of Hindustan trembled, and the future of the country was imperiled. On one side was an emperor's responsibility towards an ever-growing empire, his plans, his problems, and his political complications. On the other side were perfumed silken tresses kissing the broad shoulders of a prince in love.

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge

DDLJ is a romantic film by Yash Chopra. Released in 1995, is a simple love story of Simran and Raj. Simran is a girl full of dreams in her eyes and a hope that she will get someone who will love her unconditionally and Raj the spoiled brat who is shown as a fuckboy meets Simran on a European vacation and then stalks her, teases her and somehow they fall in love with each other. But when she returns from the trip she gets to know that her marriage was already arranged by his father in India. Then the story continues with Raj trying to win the hearts of Simran's parents.

Lagaan

Lagaan is a period sports drama movie directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Released in the year 2001, this movie is set up in a time when India was under British rule. The movie starts with the Bhuvan, a small farmer trying to protect a deer from getting hunt down by the British army captain Andrew Russel. The village suffering from a drought for the last few years were burdened by high taxes by the British rule.The story takes an unexpected turn when Bhuvan accepts the challenge of captain Russel for a game of cricket as a wager to avoid taxes for the upcoming three years. Bhuvan receives huge criticism from his fellow villagers for accepting the challenge. Slowly Bhuvan was able to persuade the villagers and make a team of players who were ready to face the British team by learning this alien game with the help of another fellow British woman Elizabeth, the sister of captain Russel.

The climax of the movie can make you be at the edge of your seat with a very exciting and intriguing cricket match.
