Bollywood Villains

Without a villain, movies will not be fair in the box office and will not be recollected even after ages. Being the antagonist is a tough part to play. They uplift the protagonist by performing as a villain in the film. There are many other villains too but here is the list of some who created their identities by playing the negative role.

Amjad Khan

Known for Sholay, Yaarana, Aatank, he has done 200+ films. Remembered for this epic dialogue “AREY OH SAMBA !! KITNE AADMI THE," he was the dacoit Gabbar Singh for the film Sholay by Salim Khan. He was an actor and a director who had a career span of 20 years.

Amrish Puri

One of the most successful villains in Bollywood, Amrish Puri wanted to become a Bollywood movie hero but failed a screen test in 1954 and then went on to become one of the most renowned and credible villains in the history of Indian cinema. Known for Mr. India, Jaal: The Trap, Natak, Karan Arjun, Phool Aur Kaante and Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaante.

Danny Denzongpa

Remembered for his negative role of Bohra, in the movie Robot was a scientist who transforms "Chitti" into an evil robot. Denzongpa was awarded the Padma Shree, India's fourth-highest civilian honor, in 2003.

Ashutosh Rana

An Indian actor, working in Bollywood, as well as the Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil film industries, he won 2 Filmfare awards for Dushman and sangharsh in the category of Filmfare awards in a negative role. He became famous after the movie Dushman, where he played a cold-blooded psychopathic killer.

Prem Chopra

Acted in 380 films over a span of over 60 years. He redefined the big screen bad guy – a villain who commanded as much screen presence as the highly glorified heroes of his time. The most entertaining dialogues said by him are "Prem naam hai mera… Prem Chopra" from Bobby and "Main woh balaa hoon, jo sheeshey se patthar ko todta hoon." from Sauten released in 1983.

Ranjeet

Gopal Bedi popularly known by his screen name Ranjeet has acted over 200 Bollywood movies, got fame after playing a negative role in the film Sharmeelee. Also worked in a number of Punjabi films such as Rab Ne Banayian Jodiyan and Man Jeete Jag Jeet. His famous dialogues are - 'Humne koi dharam khata nahi khol rakha hai ... hum jab kuch deta hai toh uske badle mein kuch leta bhi hai', from the movie Keemat, 'Aulad pehda hote hi mar jaye toh ek dukh ... jawan hoke mare toh dugna dukh ... aur agar aulad tere jaisi nalayak pehda ho jaye ... toh zindagi bhar ka dukh,' Desh Drohi

Gulshan Grover

Known by the name "Bad Man" in Bollywood, he has appeared in over 400 films. He is among the first actors to have made a successful transition from Bollywood to Hollywood and international cinema.
