Even though the movie was a complete banger and a proper entertainer , DCEU geeks were still looking for it’s classic dark content.
Even though David Sandberg did his best to give this one a completeMake over ,and let’s say more it was more of a “DC movie but with child safety on” kinda movie, but honestly it does not stop it from making it one hysterical ride.
A movie can be made even more memorable and awesome by adding the right kinda music to it,and shazam obviously had one of the most amazing soundtracks in a DCEU movie till now!! Tracks like Don’t stop me now by QUEENS and Eye of the tiger by survivor surely made it like a quick rush of nostalgia for the crowd.
However, in the midst of great songs and our new and not so mature superhero trying out his powers, there was something SO EPICthat we all missed it. YEP folks it was too epic to miss!! Exciting eh?
Shazam and Freddy freeman while trying to figure out Billy’s powers head out to an abandoned facility named ACE CHEMICALS. YEAH,YOU READ THAT RIGHT. Ace chemicals, one of the most notorious and nastiest andalso a birth place for batman’s “bff” THE JOKER. WHY? You kidding right? Well they were responsible for making the very toxins for creating one of the most baddest ,most psychopathic villain in all of the DC universe!!
This also tells us about the suicide squad connection in this movie. Want a hint? I’ll give you two words CHEMICAL WEDDING. Damn right! The Harley Quinn flashback in suicide squad is actually known as the chemical wedding and marks the bond between joker and Harleen quinzel aka Harley Quinn. The wedding happened inside Ace chemicals where joker asks quinzel to prove her love to him , not by dying for him but Staying alive for him,all of this done in the midst of another great song GANGSTA-Kehlanli. Well now we know even joker has some serious trust issues!
One of the most badass weddings you must have ever seen right? I would still keep Akash ambani’s wedding on the second spot. What about you eh?
SHAZAM! Was filled with easter eggs but this one was surely bound to blow some minds!! Especially for suicide squad fans. The movie has it all, humour and humour and a real focus on the hard life of a foster “unwanted” kid. I would honestly say, it would be a shame to miss this and marks a perfect start to THE GREAT MONTH OF APRIL 2019.( Here is a easter egg for you all :’)
