Probably it's true if we look at the current situation of girls in India. Still there are many regions where people are in dilemma as to give education to a girl child or not? Moreover there are many regions where it's clear not to educate a girl and marry her as soon as possible. You must have listened about "RAPE", well the numbers of rapes in India gradually increased after " Nirbhaya Case". Even if they are educated and not raped, are they respected?? No, simply no is the answer. Still the head of the family should be a male because people think women can't. Whether going back home after tutions in the evening or being with her boyfriend some where around, they are never comfortable. The only comfort zone for girls is inside the house but still we can't say they are safe. Well they even can't dress as per their wishes, the size of dress decides character of a girl in India, I mean really have you ever heard of this technology??? They are also judged on the basis of their male friends, I mean they can't have male friends. Though we Indians call them "laxmi", they are termed as form of goddess laxmi. O really? Is this the way we treat god?

Marriage is a mission for girls irrespective of the fact as if they are happy with it or not? If they end up marriage then there is another level of assumptions made about her. It's quite rare to listen among indian families asking girls as if they are ready for marriage, she is ok with the boy or not, No not at all these rights are for the men only. Why always a girl have to leave her house after marriage? Simply answer is traditions, well there are numerous traditions where girls are not treated equally. Each day millions of girls are harrased, abused, disrespected, and thousands are raped. As per data of 2018 nearly 4000 girls were raped in India. Shame!! Shame on us, shame on every indian male who failed to protect them, shame on indian media, shame on our domestic forces, shame on government! Will this change ever? Or the numbers will go on increasing, actually it all depend on us how we react to the matter. No government and police, firstly we are responsible because we love being silent.

Yes it's 100% true that being a girl is a fault, a huge fault. If you are a girl, you will be disrespected that's for sure, you will be raped, you will be harrased, you are not allowed to do a job, you don't have right to choose, right of freedom, you really can't dream. No one is going to support you or stand by you. You will be attacked by acid, by filthy words and comments. If you want to change your lives then you will have to act, the men will have to act, the police will have to act. You should not demoralize because still the world boxing champion Marycom is in India, our Defense and Foreign Minister is a Women, still Dangal is a classic example for all fathers of country and still that famous dialogue of 'chak de India ' that "if a girl can give birth, she can do anything"says enough of a girl capabilities. I think there is no need of schemes like " Beti Bachao & Beti Padhao" ,because this itself proves that they need to be protected, they are weak but its the demand of the situation. I hope being a girl will be a boon one day!
