The brutality we show to the voiceless, tongue tied creatures is just not acceptable. The animals have the purest souls on the planets without any type of prejudices or hatred and they are just plain, simple and lovable. We, so called ‘human beings’ mercilessly torture them to satisfy our vicious desires. Just because we are physically stronger than the domestic animals, we take advantage of that and act extremely insensitively. Viewer discretion is advised.

Wool, one of the commonly used products by man has a very dark production side. Extremely young lambs are tortured by HUMANS for the sake of wool. It’s almost as if they are born to die. A video released by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) shows the barbarism of people and the lack of empathy towards sheep. At a very young age they are separated from their mother and they are mutilated in a very painful, improper manner and without any proper veterinary treatment and their tails are cut off using a knife. As they get older, they are used for their wool and this isn’t as harmless as it seems. The way they are treated is absolutely petrifying and many workers don’t bother to cut off the hair well. After the wool is extracted from them, they are left with severe bruises and wounds and are given little to no medical care whatsoever. Once they are of no more use for the wool industry they are coloured for identification purposes and are transported to the slaughter house. It’s not pure simple murder as most of you think. The animals are actually stabbed in the throat at the time of full consciousness and are pinned down by the workers and are left to bleed to their deaths. Some of the workers treat the mutilated sheep in extremely harsh ways, they kick and hit the helpless animal as if it were a punching bag of sorts. The wool industry is an extremely cruel and bizarre one and it is one of the many left to be exposed.

The next time before you buy wool, I urge you to think of the poor and helpless creatures who have to face all of this just to produce WOOL for you. Now, I am aware that PETA has been involved in some controversy about animal cruelty themselves but again it’s the balance of probability. PETA is a well recognized non-profit company. The videos supporting this article is available on YouTube.(I haven’t put up the link here as it too disturbing and personally was almost in tears when I saw it). I hope this has had an impact on you and will give you a second thought before purchasing wool again.

PLEASE DON’T SUPPORT THIS CRUELTY. PUT AN END TO ANIMAL ABUSE.
