Abortion.

Introduction:
Abortion, a very sensitive topic to debate upon so sensitive it isn’t talked about often enough. In this newly changing world of ours where opinionated people take a healthy stand and where youngsters have a mind of their own some things still stand every futile.

Abortion is the privilege rightfully provided to women to defend them from unwanted pregnancies, pregnancies which weren’t their wrong cause to make. There can be many reasons for unwanted pregnancies, for which both the genders cant be blamed.

There is a rise of concern in some states of the U.S. regarding this exact situation. Before we get into the details of any other country lets try and understand how our country sees abortion.

India: abortion
Before the 1970s abortion was considered unholy and was not seen as a choice given to the females. Right after 10 countries made abortion legal India arose to the idea.In 1964. The Shah Committee was appointed to discuss about the legal and social affairs regarding abortion. The committee understood the situation and requested abortion on legal grounds. Of course there were rising conflicts and shaking heads which did delayed the legalisation which formally happened in 1971. The bill was named as Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act.

Moving forward in the 2000s changes and amendments were made in this act. Change of language and increase in the availability to the district levels was made easier. Till date this topic has been one to debate upon due to the mass mentality which becomes resistant to a healthy debate. The act was changed twice once in 2003 and second time in 2014, both times changes were regarding easier access to women, their safety during these procedures and language betterment.

The updated act now states that abortion is legal in India under certain circumstances. Abortion is required to be processed before 20 weeks of pregnancy and special cases with the supervision of the court can be aborted after 20 weeks. Sayings about safe and unsafe abortion was brought up in 2017 and now due to better technology methods seem to term as less or least safe. The abortion can happen after the approval of the RMP(Registered Medical Practitioner).

Now, this was the legal history of the abortion law, only the women who suffered can tell the actual story of those and present times.

This law states abortion can happen on ground of “some certain’’ circumstances, those certainly don’t include points like the woman is not ready to bear a child or she’s unsure if she wants to conceive a baby. I personally think those circumstances are enough for abortion. Things need not be as intense as rape.

Alabama: abortion
This state in the United America seems to move a couple steps behind modernisation. The law now sends an anti-abortion law. Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio and Utah seem to follow Alabama’s steps. People seem to share their opinions on a wider range because this bill doesn’t seem to provide any exception to rape or any other circumstances. Even socially this bill seems very absurd. There has been many internet protests opposing the same. Women largely talk about feminism and equality but the law oversees this all and is still on their decision. ‘’Men shouldn’t make law on women’s bodies’’ a widely used quote.

Abortion is a sensitive topic because of times like these and sometimes progressing is actually descending. This isn’t pro-life, this is pro-control. There have been large debates on this topic and surely there should be because whats happening is not acceptable.

Conclusion:
There has been two sides to this debate but opinions on the defending side don’t seem sensible enough. Abortion is a women’s choice and it shouldn’t be taken away from her, amongst the other things.

’’ We’re always going to argue about abortion. It’s a hard choice and its controversial, thats why I’m pro choice, because I want people to make their own choices.’’

Hillary Clinton.
And to be able to make this choice anti-abortion law should de-freeze.
