STRONG, SAFE, POWERFUL, AND HEARD

-kh0pdi72

We work for women empowerment for sexual and reproductive health and rights, freedom from violence, economic justice, and leadership. These are a number of the foremost crucial building blocks for women’s human rights. once a lady has these rights, she will be strong, safe, powerful, and heard.

STRONG – Sexual & reproductive health ryts

We envision a world wherever all ladies, girls, and trans individuals have power and rights over their bodies and sexualities, and therefore the resources they want to exercise those rights.

We fund and advocate for laws and policies that are grounded within the desires of girls and for reasonable, accessible, and high-quality health services. we tend to conjointly support consciousness-raising efforts that empower girls and ladies to challenge the status quo and demand higher choices. we tend to work with women’s teams UN agency increase access to comprehensive sexuality education, services, and rights—especially in marginalized communities. we tend to partner with groups UN agency advocate for women’s right to safe and legal abortion that is commonly lawfully restricted in countries wherever we tend to work. Our recipient partners demand sexual and health rights for trans communities in places wherever those rights are systematically denied.

SAFE – Freedom from Violence

We envision a world free of violence against women altogether its forms.

We fund efforts addressing all levels of gender-based violence, as well as state-sanctioned violence ladies face beneath repressing governments, threats from fundamentalist forces like Boko Haram, and intimate-partner violence. we tend to are striving for a world wherever ladies will head to faculty without the fear of being kidnaped, a world wherever girls don't seem to be subject to violence in their homes, a world wherever women’s human rights defenders don't seem to be killed for raising their voices, and a world wherever girls and ladies don't seem to be systematically raped throughout times of instability and war.

POWERFUL – Economic Justice:

We envision a world wherever all girls, ladies, and trans individuals have a voice and choice in the work they do; wherever they're paid equal wages in safe and secure works; and wherever they want access to justice and rights within the workplace and therefore the larger economy.

Women and girls round the world are additional doubtless to live in poverty because of discriminatory and unjust economic policies, pervasive gender difference, war and instability, and global climate change. we tend to work with ladies who are ever-changing this status quo on a daily basis. we tend to partner with teams operating for economic justice across fields—from encouraging women’s leadership in sustainable agriculture, to fighting for migrant and domestic workers’ rights.

HEARD – Leadership

Strengthening women’s leadership cuts across all our priority areas, and is an integral a part of our theory of modification. the long run of women’s human rights depends on a powerful pipeline of numerous young women leaders, also as on making opportunities for leaders from completely different generations and movements to find out from one another. we would like to deepen connections between leaders; and contribute to new models of feminist leadership. Our current efforts piloting a model for next generation leadership in South Asia and East Africa, and amplifying the voices of young women’s leaders operating across our core thematic areas.
