India maybe famous for its unity but this is also true that there are some people who still characterize other people based on their cast and religion. But when u heard name “Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam” you will not find a single person who hate this man.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was India’s 11th President from 2002 to 2007. He was famous as the Missile Man of India as he had successfully developed the Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and SLV-III projects. In the 1970s he also directed two projects which developed the ballistic missiles from the technology of the SLV program. He was a great scientist India has ever produced.

His full name is Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. He was born on 15th October 1931 in a poor Tamil Muslim family in Rameswaram. From teen age he had to fight with poverty for his family and his own education. His career life started by selling newspaper. He studied physics and aerospace engineering. And he spent the next four decades as a scientist and science administrator, mainly at the Defence Research and Development Organisation(DRDO).

He was not only the president and scientist but also a great teenage influencer and a social worker. He was famous in teenagers for motivating them. He had been awarded with the three highest civilian awards of India, namely the Bharat Ratna in 1997, the Padma Vibhushan in 1990 and the Padma Bhushan in 1981.

He wrote a book, titled “India 2020-A vision for the New Millennium” in which he writes about his dream of making India a developed nation. He passed away on 27th of July 2015, in Shillong, Meghalaya while giving speech.

The man who spent all his life to serve India. One student asked him “why didn’t he marry and think about raising his own family?” he replied “if he had married, he would never have achieved even half of what he has managed and if he had children’s he couldn’t do the things for the students which he has done.” He has motivated many students and inspired them. Their words still inspired us. Some of his words are:-

  3. Dream transform into thoughts and thoughts result in action.

  4. You were born with wings. Don’t Crawl. Learn to use them to fly and fly.

  5. We Should not give up and we should not allow the problem to defeat us.

APJ Abdul Kalam was an amazing and inspirational personality. Though he is physically no more with us, yet his legacy and his words continue to inspire countless youngsters, adults and academics both in India and abroad.
