Speak The Truth

Honesty defines the purity of one's heart. And our hearts make us who we are. A lot of decisions in life require us to listen to our hearts rather than our minds. We might think about the consequences of our actions through our mind but our heart decides whether to take the first step or not. Our mind is only able to tell us the difference between right and wrong but it is our heart that decides which path we choose to go on. Honesty is not just staying true to the people around you but to yourself. It helps us recognize ourselves as to who we really are. Because when a person lies lie, he creates a world for himself that doesn't even exist. A lie is an escape from the reality. And it is never too big or too small because eventually it leads us to believe in what couldn't be. And we make another person believe in something that hasn't really happened. And you will never be able to look in the eye of a person you've lied to. No matter how good things are between you, a part of you will always feel guilty for not speaking the truth. A part of you will keep reminding you of the truth you chose not to speak.

In a way by telling a lie, we betray none but ourselves. We can never be in peace with ourselves until the truth remains within us.

And one thing a person must never forget is that the truth doesn't remain hidden for long. It is like a living, existing thing and it would soon find its way out. And when it does come out, it will only ruin things.

So speak what is true, no matter what you've have to face in the end. Because the good that a person does always repays. Your honesty might some day lead you to the places that you could never imagined to reach. It might win hearts that never felt a thing for you. It might do wonders in ways that you never expected.

Even if your lie did save things at present, but could you imagine the damage it'll cause when the truth comes out. The least damage it could do is to make you turn towards the wrong path. Because even one bad deed can lead a person to become prey to other sorts of sinful acts.

And maybe you told the truth today and things didn't turn out to be good, but don't be saddened, you need to be patient for it will someday prove out to be right for you. For goodness always returns the favour.
