Peace invades in different ways into the lives of those who never really pause to find it.
For those searching, it surely does come in the time not expected.

A couple of days ago, I went to a camp, about 6 crucial hours of travelling from the comfort of my home, in the blazing sun with 2 of my school friends. A much-needed break from the rigid 5-month routine, also can't really say that I deserved it but for what it's worth, all the discomfort was worth it for one beautiful night under the stars.

When I close my eyes, right now all I feel is the peace and cold breeze right in the month of May, blowing past me whilst I enjoy the flickering of Fireflies.

A long 2-hour train journey, followed by a 3 hour of car ride up the mountains I found myself in a typical village with the slightest of the amenities. No running water, a bulb or two of electricity, mud houses, and I couldn't have seen a real village after all.

Yet, I'll say it was worth it.

We camped in an open vast land surrounded by shrubs and bushes, typically a few miles away from a jungle. The agenda was catching fireflies in their mating season.

The pictures I saw before leaving my house had raised my expectations and I'm fortunate they were fulfilled.

All my life I've never ever seen a sky so clear and experienced a night so beautiful. Despite, the tiny tent the three of us shared, and despite the constant pricking of the rocks when we slept, the fireflies and the stars stole the show.

After dinner, which was served by the locals and also was amazing we set out for hunting the highlight of the trip. Under the starry sky, with the pitch darkness around us and only the headlights to guide us, we reached the place. It was just a few nights away from a new moon night. We were indeed lucky.

Walking through the rocks and terrains we found the perfect illuminating tree. With the plethora of stars overhead, I forgot to mention that I even spotted the Ursa Minor.

A perfect amalgamation of twinkling stars and the dancing fireflies. They twinkled in a pattern which was hard to decipher but beautiful to get a glimpse of. The silhouette of the trees in the darkness made it even more scenic, just like movies. Never believed that I could witness something so amazing.

20 minutes or it could have been more we stood there just staring at how wonderful nature can be and yet we fail to appreciate it's worth by failing to make amends to our ways.

The tiny glitters and the coolness of the surrounding made me forget that it was longest I hadn't use my phone or my social media. That was when I really did found my peace, for whatever time it did last, I found it and it was enough for my heart to reflect and carry it for a long time.
