Fashion. What Is It?

Fashion?
What is Fashion?
It is a style that is popular at a particular time.
But what's always popular may not be right.
I never did understand Fashion.
Or
Was Fashion not understood properly by our fragile minds?

Fashion is about dressing according to what's fashionable and it does cost loads of dime.
Fashion is luxury and fashion is nice.
But make sure you don't hurt your poise.

Style is expressing yourself through what you wear for being comfortable in what you wear is style
Style is more about being yourself.

Arises then a question in my mind.
Did the Neanderthals understand fashion or was that the reason that they all died?
Next came the Sapiens boasting of being the wise men.

A few learnt to be comfortable in their own skin.
And a few went on to suffer because their minds thought beautiful is thin.
We claim to evolve but are we really improving in time?

Was it Fashion to spend millions on artillery when a million were hungry at the same time?
Was it Fashion to take advantage of the female when men lurked like hyenas on the road with the dim light?

Was it Fashion to have honor killings just because the panchayats decided that was right?

Smile-Laugh-Split one's side, for life is short to hold a grudge and broil in fights.
Be a shining star or be a rainbow in someone's life, for not all is glee and not all is fine. Help others as that is nice, but Remember, self help is paramount.
